In 2005 the Commissioner, - with the support of the Chief Secretary, launched this project to ascertain which government entities have an internal complaints process.
Special report -Immigration Computer Alert System
On 13th July, 2005, Mr. SB filed a complaint with this Office against the Department of Immigration.
Special report -Immigration Asylum Rights
On 5th December, 2000, Mr. NN, an Afghan, made an application for asylum to the Chief Immigration Officer. The CIO refused the application in October, 2001.
Special report -Immigration Customer service
A number of complaints were filed with the Office of the Complaints Commissioner against the Department of Immigration in relation to customer service issues.
